FAQ

It often happens that close relatives have a low percentage of compatibility or not eligible by individual criteria in order to become a donor for their loved one. In such cases, the patient is forced to register in the database of recipients and wait for a suitable organ (transplant from a deceased donor). As a rule, the waiting process is significantly long and the chances of quickly getting an organ are almost zero.

In such cases, the solution may be cross-transplantation from an immunologically compatible non-related donor at a foreign medical center. This type of transplantation significantly saves time, and most importantly makes it possible to transplant tissues directly from a living person.

Organ transplantation in children is a serious matter and often requires a longer time to prepare for an operation. Usually when searching for a suitable organ or assessing the possibility of transplantation from a relative, selection is made not only by immunological parameters, but also by size of the organ itself . This process takes not much time and is carried out simultaneously with the examinations in the chosen hospital.
Today, the organ transplantation lawis not in favor of patients in many countries. Patients from certain countries who need organ transplants are forced to go to foreign medical centers to get the medical care they need. To the main reasons that inhibit the development of transplantation in some countries and force patients to go abroad is :

• immaturity or lack of legal framework;

• lack of experience of doctors or lack of experience in transplanting certain organs;

• outdated medical protocols, equipment;

• long waiting period for a donor;

• absence of certified drugs for suppressor therapy.

Foreign medical centers have extensive experience in organ transplantation, have modern equipment and preparations necessary to maintain and stabilize the patient after surgery.
Age is considered a formal contraindication, in such cases the individual characteristics of a particular organism, the presence and degree of chronic diseases, general condition of the patient in which he arrives at the hospital are evaluated. Decision on the possibility of transplantation is made by doctors in a consultation with an assessment of all possible risks to the health of the patient.
