Q: Do I need to pay deposit before treatment in a clinic in Turkey?

Patients are issued a medical program with price details for treatment and diagnostics. In most cases, Turkish hospitals do not require advance payment for medical services by issuing deposit accounts. Payment is made before the start of diagnosis or treatment upon arrival in the hospital. At the request of the patient, the financial department of the hospital can provide an invoice for remote payment of medical services if the patient is more comfortable to pay for the services of the clinic by bank or card transfer. Nevertheless, the hospital reserves the right to issue a deposit account to the patient, most often this applies to states with an increased percentage of migration to Turkey, as well as in the case of complex medical cases with a patient’s serious condition and high risks.
