1) Liver transplantation in India is performed by two teams of doctors at once. One of them removes part of the organ from the donor, the second transplants it to the recipient. Each team has surgeons, transplantologists, hepatologists, anesthesiologists and nurses.

2) During the procedure microsurgical techniques are used, which significantly minimize the recovery time and the risk of infection.

3) Stay of the attendant at the clinic is free.

4) Relatively cheap stay in the country. This is also important because the patient will need to stay in India for several months.

5) Leading Transplant Centers in India perform up to 350 liver transplants per year.
