The Schneider Clinic is an Israeli children's general hospital that annually assists 275,000 outpatient and 13,500 inpatients from 0 to 18 years to get rid of chronic and acute diseases.
The hospital consists of 82 departments, 4 of which are 100% leaders in their areas: Center for Hematologic Oncology, Department of Endocrinology and Diabetes, Center for Cardiology, Transplantation Unit.
Every year, doctors perform over 8,200 operations at the clinic, including 500 - cardiovascular and over 220 - neurosurgical operations. In the Organ Transplant Center, about 40 organs are transplanted each year.
Hospital has 350 doctors, 52 of whom are professors. This clinic has twice won the Israel Prize for achievements in medical research.
The Schneider Children's Hospital has been accredited by JCI and certified with ISO-14001. The clinic is also recognized as the second in the world in the Quality Of Patient Care.

FEATURES OF STAYING AT THE HOSPITAL SCHNEIDER
Certified nutritionists prepare meals for young patients. Parents have the right to stay with the child 24/7. For them, there are folding chairs with bed linen near each hospital bed. The ward has a toilet, shower, kitchen, and refrigerator. They bring lunch and snacks to the accompanying person.

TREATING BLOOD DISEASES IN THE ISRAELI HOSPITAL SCHNEIDER
The Center for Hematologic Cancer in Clinic Schneider is the largest in Israel. They treat all types of benign and malignant blood diseases. The center's founder is Prof. Rina Zaizov Marx, an outstanding pediatrician, and the Israel Prize laureate. Today, the head is Isaac Yaniv. The hospital has 22 beds. Also, the Center has 6 research laboratories, where the methods of treatment of childhood blood diseases are improved.
In the Center there are:
Bone marrow transplantation department which is the only children's department in Israel. In 2014, it passed JACEI accreditation (an organization that checks clinics for compliance with international standards for bone marrow transplants).
Department of Hematology - Deals with the treatment of hereditary and acquired benign blood diseases in children.
Oncology Department - treats acute and chronic leukemia, lymphoma, Langerhans cell histiocytosis (abnormal reproduction of immune system cells). There are also 6 research laboratories in the Center in which the methods of treating children's blood disorders are constantly improved.
THE CENTER OF ENDOCRINOLOGY AND DIABETES IN THE SCHNEIDER CLINIC
The Schneider Endocrinology Center is the first in Israel to use an integrated multidisciplinary approach to the therapy of endocrine diseases. Annually, the Center helps over 15,000 children with thyroid abnormalities.
This Center has the following functions:
Department of Endocrinology deals with the conditions of puberty pathologies, disorders of the pituitary gland, congenital adrenal hyperplasia, Cushing syndrome, obesity.
Department of childhood diabetes is the largest in Israel. Each year, more than 1,700 patients from all over the world are treated for type 1 diabetes.
Diabetes Technology Center (DTC) - old ones are being improved and new methods of treating diabetes and other endocrine diseases are being developed. In 2010, it achieved the title of "Research Center" from Tel Aviv University.
CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY IN SCHNEIDER CLINIC
Here, for the first time in the world, a real-time 3D hologram of the heart was created during heart catheterization in eight children using images obtained from ultrasound and fluoroscopy during the procedure.
Each year, the Cardiac Surgery Unit performs more than 500 operations for children with congenital heart defects.

ORTHOPEDICS DEPARTMENT AT SCHNEIDER HOSPITAL
The orthopedic department of the Schneider Children's Clinic diagnoses and treats congenital and acquired diseases of the skeletal system, joints, and muscles in infants, children, and adolescents.
The department's staff treats more than 5,000 children from around the world every year. The center has with the latest technology, which allows carrying out the most complex surgical interventions with minimal risk to patients' health.
The team of doctors includes orthopedists of international level: Dr. Eli Sidon (expert in surgical treatment of diseases and foot injuries), Dr. Danielle Mercado (specializing in the treatment of congenital abnormalities of the limbs, restoration of spinal deformities, including scoliosis and treatment of metabolic bone problems), Dr. Tali Becker (specializing in pediatric trauma surgery).
Dr. Daniel Weiger, Israel's leading orthopedic specialist, is the head of the Orthopedic Department. He is a member of the American Academy of Cerebral Palsy and Development Medicine and organizes international conferences on this topic. The doctor's experience is more than 28 years.

The Schneider Children's Hospital is located in Petah Tikva, 12 kilometers east of Tel Aviv. It is most convenient for patients to arrive at Ben Gurion International Airport, which takes about 30 minutes by car (about 29 km away). The clinic is located on the territory of the medical city, next to it is the Yitzhak Rabin medical center. Nearby are parks, playgrounds, a small zoo, shopping centers, variety of shops and restaurants.
