The medical center is functioning on partnership with other clinics expanding the possibilities for curing cancer patients. In 2012, the Institute of Gustave Roussy joined forces with the Medical and Surgical Center Marie-Lannelongue - they created the Institute of Thoracic Oncology (IOT). The idea of the uniting is to develop more effective treatment plans for patients with this diagnosis.
Clinic initiated the creation of the consortium Cancer Core Europe in 2014, which includes six world medical centers working to solve the problems of patients with oncological diseases.
In the same year, a contract was signed with the company "New Oncology", which resulted in the development of a unique platform that provides a more in-depth study of tissues affected by cancer. This step allowed to improve the personalized approach to patients.
In 2015, the Institute collaborated with the St. Anne Hospitals Center. The purpose of this treaty is to enhance the ways of treating cancer of patients suffering from the nervous system disorders.

NONINVASIVE METHODS OF CANCER THERAPY IN THE INSTITUT GUSTAVE ROUSSY

TREATMENT OPTIONS WITHOUT SURGERY
Hormonal therapy. Treatment with hormones helps to block the natural cancer development in patients body. This prevents the stimulation of tumor and stops its growth.
Chemotherapy. In this option, wide range of drugs are used, the action of which is directed to the destruction of cancer.
Radiation therapy. It is possible to use external radiation therapy with different types of irradiation:
- With modulated intensity;
- Tomotherapy;
- Stereotaxis (Novalis).
Brachytherapy - The implantation of the source of radiation in tumor itself or close to the tissue. To date, the Institute has installed 8 devices for external radiotherapy and 10 for brachytherapy.
Immunotherapy. This method promotes the active work of the body's own defense mechanisms, which, under the influence of drugs, begin to fight the affected cells. The Roussy Cancer center is one of the most promising centers for the development of immunotherapy in Europe.
PEDIATRIC ONCOLOGY IN THE CENTER GUSTAVE ROUSSY
Doctors of the medical center work with children. Here all types of cancer in children are treated: lymphomas, embryonic tumors, oncology of bone and soft tissues, neuroblastoma. Survival of children who have been treated in this clinic is 80%.
