METHODS OF ONCOLOGICAL THERAPY IN THE CENTER OF FUDA IN CHINA

Cancer surgery at Fuda Medical Center in China

Doctors of the Chinese clinic are sure that with cancer therapy, biological features or heterogeneity of the tumor can not be ignored. Due to the orientation of specialists on the personalized approach to each case, the hospital demonstrate a high success rate of treatment.

Irreversible electroporation (NanoKnife). Minimally invasive procedure for removal of a tumor with the help of ultrashort electrical impulses.

Due to this type of exposure only affected cells are affected, healthy tissues remain in their original state. This method allows operations in hard-to-reach areas where traditional surgical intervention can not be performed.

Cryosurgical ablation (CSA). The principle of the effect on the tumor consists of the alternation of cycles of freezing and thawing, in which cancer cells are destroyed.

Depending on the size and location of the tumor, the procedure is performed through endoscope, intraoperative or transdermal routes. At the moment, Fuda has performed more than 7000 cryosurgical operations.

CMI-therapy (Cancer Microsphere Intervention). In this treatment option, chemical preparations in the form of nanoparticles are used, which are installed in capillary vessels that deliver blood to the tumor. Together with the blood, the drug passes into the affected cells and destroys them. It is important to note that the dose of the medicine is minimal and it is tightly sealed in the nanoparticle, so that it can not affect other vessels and healthy tissues.

INNOVATIVE CANCER TREATMENT METHODS IN THE FUDA CANCER HOSPITAL GUANGZHOU

    Irreversible Electroporation (NanoKnife)

This minimally invasive procedure removes the tumor with ultra-short electrical impulses. Because of this, only the malignized cells are affected, and the healthy tissue remains untouched. This method is often used to treat hard-to-reach cases, when traditional surgery cannot be applied.

Used on tumours of pancreas, liver, lungs and soft tissue.

    Cryosurgical ablation (CSA)

Affects the tumor by alternating cycles of freezing and defrosting, which destroys the cancerous cells. Depending on the size and location of the tumor, the procedure is performed through endoscopic, intraoperative or transdermal ways. So far, the doctors of Fuda Clinic have performed more than 10,000 cryosurgical operations. They are #1 in the world not only in number of performed procedures, but also in the amount of cancer types treated this way.

Used to treat tumours of liver, lungs, pancreas, prostate, breast and soft tissue. The achievements of the Fouda Clinic in this field have been highly appreciated by the WHO and have also received several international awards.

    Rapid chemical ablation

Pure alcohol destroys the tumor by extracting water out of cancer cells and denaturing the structure of proteins. Ethanol is injected through the skin with an ultrathin needle under supervision by ultrasound or CT. Up to five or six sessions of injections may be required to completely destroy the cancer.

It is used to treat cancer of liver, lungs and hard tissue.

    CMI therapy (Cancer Microsphere Intervention)

This method places nanoparticles in the capillary vessels that deliver blood to the tumor. Together with the blood, the particles enter the malignant cells and insert agents that are toxic to the tumour. Because the doses are very small and are safely sealed within the particles, they cause no harm to the nearby tissue and vessels.

    Vaccine Against Cancerous Stem Cells

Radio and chemotherapy are powerless against cancerous stem cells (CSC). Once CSCs are detected and memorized by several lymphocytes, they can search for and eliminate other CSCs, thus providing long-term defence for the body.

This technology is called a "CSC vaccine". It was ranked 54th among the 100 best discoveries in the 2012 global scientific world. The Fuda Clinic, in collaboration with the University of Michigan in the USA, has developed and implemented such vaccines for various types of tumors.

    Combined immunotherapy (CIC)

Doctors of Fuda use immunotherapy to stimulate the patient's own immune system in the fight against cancer. Since cancer cells mutate, immunological treatment is adjusted accordingly. The combined form of this therapy involves mixing several methods of immune stimulation. This approach allows to inhibit the cancer regardless of its type.

Guangzhou Fuda Hospital has been practicing HANK since the June of 2015. By 2016, more than 200 cancer patients have received 3-6 immunotherapy courses. Such treatment has shown effectiveness in 80% of cases.

    Microwave hyperthermia

With the help of a wave with a high penetrating power, radiation is delivered to the tumor, which heats the necessary part of the body to 41 ° C - 43 ° C. In this case, healthy cells survive, and cancer cells die, as they are less resistant to temperature increase. Microwave therapy stimulates the immune system, which increases the effectiveness of the fight against the disease.

    Method 3 "C" + P

Complex CSA, CMI, CIC and personalized therapy, which was invented and applied for the first time in the Fuda Cancer Clinic. This method gives the accuracy and effectiveness in the treatment of cancer and maximizing the effectiveness of therapy.

    Brachytherapy

The form of radiotherapy, in which the source of radiation is placed inside the tumor. Brachytherapy allows the patient to recover in a shorter time and with minimal risks. Implantation takes up to 1 hour and patients can often go home on the same day.

    Photodynamic therapy

The patient is injected with a drug called photosensitizer or photopolymerizing sensitizer that kills cancer cells under certain types of light without affecting healthy tissue. It is used in the treatment of cancer of the digestive organs, stomach, bladder, colorectal cancer, epipharynx, and melanoma.

    Local immunotherapy

    Used to treat cerebral glioma.

    Ozone therapy

It is an adjuvant treatment for cancer and is safe, non-toxic and painless. The principle of action is to increase the oxygen content in the blood, which improves the sensitivity of cancer cells to chemo- and radiotherapy.

In addition to these treatment options, Fuda Cancer Center uses radiofrequency ablation, photodynamic therapy and vascular interventional therapy. In addition, in addition to an integrated approach, clinical specialists use traditional Chinese medicine, acupuncture and moxibustion.
